We look forward to this event every time it swings around – and the Institute of Hospitality’s 2024 Golf Day certainly did not disappoint!
Sales Director Oliver Smith and Sales Executive Kay Wiskin joined two lucky associates out on the course at this prestigious venue in Sutton Coldfield to play against friends and colleagues within the hospitality industry.
Despite a worthy effort, TWO’s team finished the tournament in third place, conceding to winners Goldmills Recruitment and runners up Gather & Gather.
Participants then retreated to The Belfry’s spacious Wishaw Suite, where they were treated to a delicious three course dinner courtesy of the resort’s Executive Chef.
Here’s what first-timer Kay had to say about her experience on the day:
“It was really fun – the sun was shining, and the day flowed perfectly. It was my first ever golf day (I have only been playing for just over a year) and I was really nervous beforehand as I didn’t know what to expect. But I have to say, it was fantastic.
“When it comes to the organisation of the event, the staff at The Belfry were second to none. They made sure TWO’s signage, golf balls and buggy cards were in place straightaway, and our balls and food and drink vouchers were distributed in Belfry branded bags to each golfer.
“The dinner was lovely, with excellent food and a very funny host. But my favourite part was definitely the golf itself. We had a great team, and all had a good laugh together.”
Just as importantly, the golf day raised an impressive £4,700 for the Institute of Hospitality’s Youth Council.
Denis Sheehan, Publisher at H&C News, the organisers of the Institute of Hospitality Annual Golf Day, told us: "The provision of two buggies per team, as well as a drink and a 'Belfry' sausage roll at the halfway house for every golfer by TWO Services proved to be two of the most popular and appreciated elements of the day. A sleeve of golf balls provided by TWO Services to every player on the day was also, unsurprisingly, well received. TWO Services have become an integral part of the Institute of Hospitality Annual Golf Day, and rightly so."
Robert Richardson, CEO at the Institute of Hospitality, was delighted to welcome back the team from TWO Services, saying: "The hospitality provided by TWO Services to all who take part in the Institute of Hospitality Annual Golf Day is always appreciated, not just by me, but by all who take part. They have become part of the very make-up of the day, and I look forward to welcoming Oliver, Kay and the TWO Services team back in 2025."
We’d like to extend special thanks to the following businesses, without whom the event wouldn’t be possible: headline partners Meiko UK, service sponsor Softbank Robotics, nearest-the-pin sponsor Bankbrokers UK, and longest drive sponsor Housekeeping Today.

We look forward to meeting everyone out on the tee again next year!
